Coolink 80mm, 92mm, 120mm Case Fans

Coolink the European Computer Fan manufacturer has done it again with a series of brand new 80mm, 92mm, and 120mm case fans. Code-named SWiF, "... my computer is so silent I can hear the snowflakes falling." and that statement is indeed true!

Today we are going to review the SWiF fan collection from Coolink. First off we would like to thank Coolink for this opportunity to review their SWiF fan series. Coolink winter fans have been known as being abnormally quiet, to the point where you wonder if it is still running. We shall find out if this is indeed true in this review!

Packaging

All 3 boxes lined up in a row, you can see the two smaller fans (92 and 80mm) have roughly the same size packaging and the large 120mm has a little under an inch large on all sides. The packaging have all the same width, the actual fans are also the same width. This style of fan packaging is normal in most fans, a simple box with a clear piece of plastic to view the fan blades and some design on the outside.

One of the interesting things Coolink has is a fan controller with every fan they sell. It can be cumbersome if you already have a fan controller. But if you don't have a fan controller already (or if you hate yours :P), this is a great way to get one, for the cost of a fan. The actual contents are quite simple, the fan controller, a head for the fan controller, a case bracket with a single hole (You can drill more holes in it if you plan on using more coolink fans), 4:3 pin adapter with double ended molex, and screws. The actual packaging is well done, the fan is secured very well with all the extras that they included. One small thing I did notice was on the 120mm fan, you can clearly see chiseling marks on the blade, where the plastic was cut. It does not matter as the fan spins at about 1200rpm, but for ascetics it does make it look cheap.

Conclusion

This series of fans are excellent quality for a mid-range computer, higher gaming class pc's or people who want utterly complete silence will require a different series of fans. For the average computer these fans are quite, durable, and reliable. The included extras come as a bonus for gaming/advanced users. The fans themselves are excellent design and quality.
