Scythe out of Japan has taken the market by surprise with several high quality fans and cooling systems. How does the Kaze-Jyu fan series compare to their other high quality products, lets find out.

First off we notice the packaging is jammed with content, mostly to the fact there are both English and Japanese on the packaging and three other languages for the technical details. Disregarding this we see the packaging is like most other fan packages, a top flap with the fan connectors and add ons, a square for the fan to sit into with some kind of a covering that hangs on the shelf.

Looking at the package contents, seems very simple. The fan, a power adapter (4:3 pin) and a bag with 4 fan screws in it.

Design 

Looking at the fan the very first thing you will notice is that there are two holes. This is actually a unique idea to Scythe. This fan series has 1 fan for the 92mm and the 100mm measurements. The closer hole is for the 92mm size while the outside hole is for the 100mm size.This is really a great idea as you can easily move it from one slot of a 92mm to 100mm, so no buying a new fan on that next case change! Another look at the actual fan blades you will notice they are rather sharp compared to other computer fans, so sharp I actually cut myself on it, a first for me. Other than that it looks like every other fan.

Conclusion 

The Kaze-Jyu is a low cost highly efficient solution for a reliable cooling fan for your computer. Featuring no fancy features it includes everything you need for a basic setup. It defiantly extends Scythe's high performance, and low cost cooling fan market base!
