How do you test products?

Depending upon the product we are reviewing we use different software/testing eletronics to test the product. Software is used for all computer parts to test and generally graphs are presented. Eletronics are used to test voltage, loudness, etc.

How do you determine a rating?

Rating are determined based upon other products in that specific category (For Example PC2-5400 Budget Series RAM are compared to others of the same series, generally no more than 4-5 different ones from different companies) From that we from that we use an analysis of the product and it's competitors looking at anything from statistics to packaging and figure out where along the scale it compares to those other products.
